Getting around Khao Yai National Park requires a bit of planning, but the reward is total immersion in one of Thailand’s most beautiful natural landscapes. The park is vast and spread out, so having your own vehicle or motorbike is the most convenient way to explore. Roads are well-maintained, and you can easily reach popular sites like Haew Narok Waterfall, Pha Diao Dai Viewpoint, and various trailheads by car.

If you don’t drive, you can hire a taxi or private driver for the day from nearby towns like Pak Chong. Some guesthouses and eco-lodges also offer organized tours, which are great for wildlife watching, especially early morning or at night.

Inside the park, there are clearly marked hiking trails, ranging from easy walks to more challenging treks—some require a guide, especially if you’re venturing deep into the jungle. Ranger stations offer trail information and maps, and you’ll often see wildlife right from the road or trail.

Bicycles are available for rent near the park gates, but the hilly terrain and long distances can be tough without good fitness. If you're aiming to explore at a relaxed pace, a guided nature tour is a comfortable and informative option.
